Our visionary founder and inspiration, Shri Shivajirao Pandit, former Minister (Revenue) in Maharashtra Govt., a philanthropist, is always passionate about seeing the children of Georai and that of the neighbourhood getting educated in an English Medium School, speaking the English language fluently and rubbing shoulders and compete with their counterparts from big cities for tertiary/higher education. In order to realize this noble dream and cause, Shiv Sharda Public School (SSPS) was established by his eldest son, Shri Amarsingh Shivajirao Pandit, former MLA, Govt. of Maharashtra.
Shiv Sharda Public School is being run under the aegis of Jagdamba Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Georai, headed by a very passionate educationist, Shri Jaisingh Shivajirao Pandit in the capacity of the Secretary of Jagdamba Shikshan Prasarak Mandal.
SSPS is recognized by the Education Department of Zilla Parishad and is affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education for SSC Examinations. However, with the objective of providing the pupils a national level platform, the management of SSPS has decided to convert the School into a CBSE School by securing affiliation with the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. In accordance with this plan, the CBSE syllabi were introduced right from the Kindergarten Level and as on today (2019), the pupils of Jr. K.G. to Standard V (to be upgraded gradually by one Class/Standard every year) are being taught the CBSE syllabi. The School is in all readiness to apply for and subsequently secure affiliation with the CBSE in March, 2020.
We, at SSPS, strongly believe in the Theory of Multiple Intelligence propagated by the world famous educational psychologist, Professor Howard Gardner. Wedded with this belief, the very essence of Shiv Sharda Model of Education aims at providing a holistic education to its pupils so as to help them reach their highest potential. In order to achieve this goal, SSPS curriculum provides for a wide range of extra and co-curricular activities on a regular basis. Our system and structures provide for finding out the innate talents of the children, facilitating training to sharpen their skills, creating opportunities and platforms by organizing competitions and prgrammes to help them showcase their talents and thus, helping them gain in confidence and acquire all-round development required for fruitful and successful 21 st century living.
